Your Rights

You can request a summary of the personal data we hold about you, the purposes for which it is processed, and the categories of recipients (if any) it has been shared with.

How: Sign in and visit your Settings page, or email support@docvault.in with the subject line "Access Request".

You can correct inaccurate or misleading data, complete incomplete data, and update outdated data — including your name, email, and any document metadata.

How: Edit your profile in Settings, or replace any uploaded document directly from your vault.

You can permanently delete your account and every document stored against it. Erasure is irreversible — encrypted files and database records are removed within 30 days, and backups are purged on their next rotation cycle.

How: Visit Delete My Account while signed in.

You may nominate another individual to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity. The nominee can request access to or erasure of your vault upon submitting valid proof.

How: Email support@docvault.in with the subject "Nominee Registration" and include the nominee's full name, relationship, and contact details.

If you believe your rights have been violated, or are unsatisfied with our response, you can raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer.
